The Precision Twist EB6304G series of end mills are a extra length, ball nose, four flutes are made of carbide with a TiN finish is used for high speed machining of curved surfaces and best performance in steel and stainless steel.
The TiN finish is a gold-colored ceramic coating that combines hardness and low friction to extend cutting tool life and permit faster cutting speeds than with uncoated tools. You can be more productive and spend less time working. The extra length trades off rigidity for length, so you can work with thicker pieces of material or be able to reach out of the way locations.
Ball nose end mills have higher feed rates due to the smooth geometry of the cutting tip, which facilitates lower cutting forces, giving the cutter added strength under pressure.
