The BFM-250-B is an economic solution combining the Spyraflo Self-Aligning, SAE-840 Bronze bearing with a 2-Bolt Hole Steel Flange. The final assembly offers design engineers a Low-Cost, Low-Profile, Flange-Mounted bearing. Oil impregnated bronze bearings are an economic solution for medium load / medium speed applications. Manufactured to SAE-840 specifications; containing 25% oil within the porous bronze spherical insert ensuring long, maintenance free, bearing life. Oil is distributed to the mounting surface by a hydrodynamic action, ensuring a protective film of lubricating oil is maintained between the bearing and mounting shaft. The Self-Aligning bronze bearing is very securely self-clinched into the Steel Flange. Spyraflo Flange-Mounts are an ideal choice for applications that require a removable/replaceable bearing as opposed to a permanently self-clinched installation. The profile and performance of Spyraflo Flange-Mounts make them a very cost effective alternative to traditional Flange-Mounted bearing mounting challenges.
